It's a catchy phrase that usually refers to following Jesus' teachings.It is frequently used by ministers in order to deceive their congregations into believing that they are holy.In that respect it is usually used like a political slogan.
A much more meaningful expression is "walk in the Spirit" which refers to following the instructions of the Holy Spirit through which Christ is manifested in our lives.Those who claim they are "walking with Christ" almost never will claim they are "walking in the Spirit" because the Holy Spirit and thus Christ have never come into their lives.They just like to tell people that He has.
