The book of mormon says that homosexuality is wrong but the bible/torah don't. Most english translations of the bible are wrong and have many errors. If the translators don't like gays then the bible says that God hates them to. If the translator is gay the bible says God loves them. As a christian I could say that I believe being straight is just as sinful. Its the sex that the sin not the actual attraction. Sodom was just a city that God destroyed because of sin. Unfortunately many christians think Sodom was anal sex between two men. The word "sodomy" did not appear as a sexual act till hundreds of years later. Ancient jews and even currently a lot of orthodox jews still think of homosexuality as sin. This is because back in the ancient days it was considered wrong to waste the seamen. Therefore straight pleasure sex and masturbation was wrong. That was due to the low population at the time. Israel needed more people. Leviticus 18:2 " Do not lie with a man as one lies with a women; that is detestable." (NIV) This is incorrect translating. Most english bibles say this same thing or something very similar. Now remember the old testament is in hebrew and just translated in english to say what the translators want. The literal meaning of the hebrew is "You shall not lie with man on the bed of a women." Straight couples didn't always sleep in the same bed.
