What gadgets are there to help a college student study?

I heard of something really cool last year but I've completely forgotten what it was all about. I'm looking for something that would help a college undergraduate study for regular classes.
I think it was something similar to the little Leapster study things for kids.
 
You are an adult now. No need for "toys". A good laptop should be all you need.
 
cool phone with wi-fi,
laptop with wireless net for surfing,
and lots more spy gadget.
