What goes on inside a Waste Management garbage truck rear loader or hopper?

My plan is to drag my garbage can to the curb, get inside the can, and wait to be lifted into the hopper. What can I expect once I am in the hopper? (don't worry I'll wear a suit that covers all my body so I won't get too smelly)
