The Los Angeles Clippers are playing their best basketball ever. Their franchise appears to be on the way up. But, like usual, the Clippers have found a way to mess things up. This time, it involves a fan.
Clipper Darrell is a Clippers fan who has been loudly supporting the team for more than a dozen years. At virtually every game, he has been the team’s loudest fan. Through their many years of losing, Clipper Darrell’s dedication to the team never wavered.
However, now that the Clippers are actually good, the franchise has decided it no longer need Clipper Darrell. In fact, the Clippers have told him to no longer call himself “Clipper Darrell”.
The oddest part of that request is that the media gave him that name — it wasn’t even his own doing. But the Clippers don’t care about that, they only want to make as much money as they possibly can.
Clipper Darrell, you deserved better.
And to the Clippers franchise, you should be ashamed of yourself.
But then again, the Clippers will always been the Clippers.
