This is what happened..

We were parked on a tractor trail between two fields and someone called the cops on us because we were on private property. As we were returning to the car, we got into the trunk to put away our pipe (because we were smoking marijuana in the woods). I turned around and saw five cops coming and they came up to us to ask us what we were doing. We were very cooperative and they asked if they could search the vehicle. We said it was fine and they brought out their canine saying that "he needed practice anyway." Obviously, the dog smelled it and they found a small amount (less than half an eighth) of marijuana and the pipe. There, they asked us who it all belonged to and we all said that we didn't recognize it. Then they handcuffed us and took us to jail. There, before we walked in, he asked again saying, "Whose pipe is this? No one is going to be honest?" The police didn't tell us that no matter whose it was, we were all going to be charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.. so I thought that I was getting everyone in more trouble and admitted that the pipe was mine. We were kept in jail until we were bailed out, which was around 7 hours.

At no point in time were we read our rights. Does that mean that the evidence they acquired while we were detained can be thrown out? I know they only have to read us our rights when interrogating us.. but does that include the questions they asked us while searching us and transporting us to the jail?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
