What happens if you put gasoline in a deisel truck?

Don't panic. It's not that bad. Don't drive the truck. Drain the tank and if you can get to the fuel filter then drain that also. Get a diesel fuel treatment and put in tank with fresh diesel. You may have to crank it a bit to get it started but once it starts let it run without driving it until you hear the engine smooth out. I've seen it happen a lot and it's much worse if you put diesel into a gas vehicle. This whole process should tak you less than an hour and the truck should be ok.

I had a friend who did that once, she didn't start the car so I don't know what would have happened. But, she had to get the fuel tank changed before she could drive it again.

My sister-in-law just called and said she put gas in my brother's deisel pick-up truck. I know this HAS TO BE bad! But how bad? What's going to happen? Thanks anyone!

OH no. If you put Diesel in a gas motor it wont run, but if you put gas in a deisel motor it will run. Briefly. After that its ruined.
I hope it turns out okay.
