What is a blu-ray disc?

Yea i accidently bought one thinkin it was a regular dvd and it doesn't work in my dvd player.......

you need a high def dvd reader, but it does work in some other players........i can get scientific but its 4am here so basically a blue ray disk holds more memory......blue light has more storage then red

It is a high definition format of video that will only work with a local player (blu-ray player) HD DVD's do the same thing, so if they say hd dvd or blu ray I wouldn't get them.

It will work with a PS3, it won't work with a regular DVD player. It has a better picture than a regular DVD - 4 times the resolution.

Odds are you'll be able to return it to the store, but if you can't, find a friend with a PS3 (or a bluray player).
