What is best for walking, Sat Nav, PDA or phone?

Please can anyone give me any advise? Also do you know any models which would be suitable?

This is mainly for finding routes when walking around London after taking public transport, instead of taking a map.

Prefer something not too bulky or expensive.

I mean i am very biased however i do not know of any other device that can serve ALL purposes except the iPhone by apple...i LOVE it
it gives me all the bus routs, fastest walking routs, and fastest car routs with turn by turn directions. and now the iPhone is actually extremely competitively priced for what your getting

-a phone
-a nav
-a camera
-a mobile browser
-a mini computer basically

just go on the apple website and check out all the features...once you get an iPhone there will never be anything that can compare.
