utorrent is very lightweight and faster too compared to bittorrent..

Both the programs are nearly similar in terms of features,usage and performance. utorrent is relatively new so its better in speed.

bittorrent is the name of the protocol as well as one of the clients. utorrent is one of the best implementations of it.
