I don't know, probably because it's so easy to argue against something that has no evidence.

I don't think so. Personally, I look through the religious section for rude question aimed towards atheist so I can debate about it with them. I think it's just kind of fun to see both sides of an argument. If you like that stuff you should consider taking a debate class if you don't already.
