what is planking and why does ray william johnson keep complaining about it.?

ok so on ray's recent videos hes been talking about planking and i just wanna know wha it is.
 
Just laying down on your stomach in/on random places and things in public. Owling is the new crazy.
He complains about it because its stupid.
 
Planking is when you lay down flat like a plank on something stupid (ie moving car, microwave, floor, etc)
 
Planking is when a person lays flat on the ground and they stay like that for a long time with their arms pressed closely to their sides.
 
when people lay down on random places and take pictures! i think its silly hahaha some make me laugh! go google pictures of planking.. hahaha what has this world come to?!? lol :)
