I am wanting to convert my movies I have to Divx or Xvid AVI files so I can save them on my hard drive for easy transportation and viewing. I do not need it to compress the movie to a specific size but would like to keep movies under 2gigs while maintaining as much quality as possible. I have a lot of action movies so the conversion must be able to handle action scenes well.
I want to know what everyone else thinks is the best software and/or process to do this. I have found a few guides but they are all different and I don't wish to spend several days trying each one to see which is the best.
