I have been feeding my golden Hundenflocken since she was 2 months, in the morning mixed with milk, egg (organic from our chickens) and ricotta cheese. For her lunch and dinner, she gets the Hundenflocken with homemade beef soup. Lots of veges like green beans, carrots, celery, sweet potatoes. (She always picks out the sweet potatoes first). Because you have a large breed dog, be sure they get enough calcium for good bone development. My brain has gone blank at the moment as to the other thing we add to her food for her joints...if it come sback into my head I will add it to this post. I suggest you read "Foods our Pets Die For" for receipes and what foods to avoid. I think you will be horrified to learn what goes into most standard brand dog foods.
