I am looking for a card that I can use on my DSi so I can run homebrew apps via micro sd. Examples: iPlayer, R4i(R4DSi I dont know) I just want to know the best before i waste my money on a bad one
What is the best homebrew app DSi card?

well, i consider myself a guru on this type of subject sew.....
and iplayer is pretty awesome- it can play movies and music of basically any type of format (like avi and mpeg4), it also has a really good homebrew capability, and also offers a nes/gba emulator for it (gba can get a bit dodgy, but its still in development). i have one of these, but the bad thing is, is that it can play normal ds games :'(
An r4 card can only be used in a ds lite or a ds. It plays almost all games really well, as if u just bought them, but is prone to crashing, on rare occasions (depending on if the game ROM is real crappy). It runs Homebrew really well aswell, and you can also get an application for movies/ music called moonshell- but for movies they have to be in dpg(i think?) format- which takes HOURS to convert. Also, if you download the Cheat Code Editor from www.r4ds.com it lets you use action replay (and gameshark ?) codes for cheating (like infinite masterballs in pokemon for example).
The R4i card is basically the same as the R4, but you can use it in the dsi, as well as the other two consoles. But one (downside?) of this, is that you can't use the Cheat Code editor with this, as the cheats are stored/read differently, but some games do come with cheats already on them. (you can always search on how to put cheats on).
Theres also others, like the Supercard, The Acekard/2 (and Acekard2i), and the dsTT, which are all very similar to the R4, but the R4/i would be better because the games load way quicker (and I personally think it is better)
so all-in-all, it depends on what you are looking for... games, or good media playing capabilities/ retro gaming.
an R4 costs aroung 50-60 bucks, and an iPlayer costs around 30, (i dont know about the others).
I personally have both- 1 for good gaming, the other for good media and Golden Sun (ahh i love that game
