what is the best thing to get cigarette smell out of your house?

my sister has a boy friend and he smokes a lot and our house smells like it and we dont like it have anyway to get it out we tried volcanic rocks or something like that and it hasn't worked that much but i believed it did but my mom thinks it still stinks so what do u think we could do to get it out please help thank you and have a good christmas
