I have become friends with my hairdresser. At first, I thought she was a nice easy going person who just wanted to make some new friends. One year later, she is about to drive me crazy! She is so negative and bitter. Nothing is ever right or good enough for her. We go out to eat and she sends her food or drink back because “it’s not right”. We are trying to decide where to eat dinner and “she doesn’t like this place” or “she doesn’t like that place” or “she doesn’t want that today” or “it’s too expensive”. She is only 30 years old and is very grumpy, very unsatisfied and very unhappy. She has a very bad attitude and people that don’t know her probably think she’s mean. Part of the problem is that she’s been single too long.
She is desperately seeking a man to help her pay her bills and for companionship. At first I thought I was imagining things, but she really feels that people owe her something. She feels that because I am married I have “extra” money that she doesn’t have. When you have two people it’s double the bills – period. This past weekend me, her and another friend went out to eat. She didn’t want to drive her car because “gas is too high” – as if nobody else is going through hardship due to the rising cost of gas. We ended up taking my car but does my car run on air? Um, I think not. Also, she is very whiny. We say we want to go one place and she goes against it everytime, so we have to pick something that will satisfy her too. The problem is we have named off like ten restaurants and she doesn’t want either of them.
*** EDIT ***
I don't know anyone to set her up with, otherwise I would have done this a long time ago. My husband doesn't have any single friends that would be interested in her ... and frankly ... I doubt she'd be interested in them.
