They worship the same God, so why 2 different religions?

i don't know if they worship the same god .judeisam i think was around thousands of years befor islam (the isrealites).islam was started in the middle east, i think in iran or iraq area around 550 ad by a man named mohamad. islam and mohammad are no longer debatable. i'm not jewish or muslem.

they have many differences, Islam has a lot pagan customs and beliefs still . in beginning Muslims were praying toward Jerusalem . Jewish people did not like that somebody else who is not Jewish is prophet of the same religion since they claim that they are chosen one..
Difference is in Freedom and relationship toward God .. even the live under same law they have different level of faith.. Jewish faith is far more stronger then muslim faith . Difference is the same like Difference between Isak and Ishmael

They do not worship the same God
The God of the the children of Israel, Yahweh, is the one true God, later revealed as Jesus (Jews do not believe Jesus to be a revelation of Yahweh).
The God of Islam however is the vain imagination of a man.

Different ancestry (Muslim/Ismail) (Jew/Isaac), therefore different beliefs. Neither accept Jesus as the Jewish Messiah as promised in the Old Testament. Muslims have added Mohamed. Some want a religion that identifies with their heritage therefore the Muslims added their Mohamed and distort Old Testament scripture and invent their own bible, the Quran. Satan doesn't care how religious you are, he just wants to distort the truth just enough to keep you under his control. He does this by distorting the truth about Jesus.

The god of Islam is most certainly not the same as the God of Jews and Christians. While the Jewish and Christian God is Father and King, Allah is the unknowable dictator.

no we dont... read the Quran then the bible... they believe hagar is suposed to be the true wife

both worship pagan genital mutilation. other than that there isnt any difference. they just a slave running murdernig, killing people. both of them

here is a comparison of Christianity, Islam and Judaism that might help

JUDAISM
- says that no human can ever die for the sins of others
CHRISTIANITY
- says that Jesus died for the sins of mankind

JUDAISM
- says that all humans are born pure, and innocent
CHRISTIANITY
- some say that all humans are born with 'original sin'.

JUDAISM
- says that G-d would never allow/enable a 'virgin birth'
CHRISTIANITY
- says that Mary gave birth, though a virgin

JUDAISM
- says that no man gets a 'second coming'
CHRISTIANITY
- says that Jesus will have a 'second coming'

JUDAISM
- says that every human should speak directly to G-d
CHRISTIANITY
- Jesus claims in the 'new testament' that the 'only way' to G-d is via him

JUDAISM
- says G-d is one, indivisible, cannot be separated into three aspects/incarnations
CHRISTIANITY
- some sects speaks of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit

JUDAISM
- says that we are ALL equally G-d's children
CHRISTIANITY
- says that Jesus was 'god's son' above all others

JUDAISM
- has no concept of 'hell'
CHRISTIANITY
- *some* Christians believe non-believers go to 'hell'

JUDAISM
- has no 'devil', the Jewish 'Satan' is just an ordinary angel, under G-d's control
CHRISTIANITY
- describes 'Satan' as a devil and 'fallen' angel

JUDAISM
- the 'messiah' will be a normal, mortal man who must fulfill all the Jewish messianic prophecies in one normal, mortal lifetime
CHRISTIANITY
- Jesus was the 'messiah' and will fulfill the prophecies when he 'returns'

JUDAISM
- says that the righteous of ALL faiths will reach 'gan eden' or 'garden of eden'.
CHRISTIANITY
- some Christians insist that only those who 'know Christ' can reach heaven

JUDAISM
- forbids Jews from trying to convert anyone to Judaism
CHRISTIANITY
- believes in actively 'witnessing' and encouraging people to convert to Christianity

JUDAISM
- no concept of original sin
CHRISTIANITY
- some sects of Christianity believe in “original sin” to justify the need for a savior. Others believe that humankind cannot keep from sinning and requires a savior to cleanse them.

Thanks Paperback for the majority of this with some tweaking by Qua Patet Orbis and Myself.
