I'm trying to figure out the name of this cartoon I watched as a kid. Here's what I remember:
1. It was set in space, I'm pretty sure it was set on a moon or a moon like planet at the outer edge of a fictitious solar system.
2. It was about a group of astronauts or space explorers stranded on a moon/ small planet.
3. I found the animation style quite strange/unique. In the opening sequence it was laid out that this group of explorers was sent off with much fanfare and then as they were exploring something happened and they were stranded on this moon/planet. They are waiting for rescue but it never comes so the whole premiss (if I can remember correctly) is to either signal the home planet or otherwise escape.
4. The show was the animation of the captain's log as he recounts the events while they try to survive.
5. I probably watched it in the mid 90s?
Any ideas?
