I am going on a 40 day fast of beans, rice, and water to raise awareness and money for thirsting and starving people in third world countries. I have figured out that this beans and rice diet will only cost me about 25 cents a day. So after 40 days of that, I figure I can save about $300 on food that I will donate to some cause that I'm still trying to decide on. Anyway, I would like to know the nutrition information in a serving of beans and rice. Secondly, will this be safe for a healthy 26 year old male? And finally, should I take vitamin supplements while I do this? If so, which ones? Thanks!
