Foolishly signed a legal contract for the scam company xtremesocal (google it)
Here is an image of it: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/805/img9330.jpg/
Basically authorizing them to charge my card (which I promptly canceled) for $100. A gimmick: the charge increases by $10 each time they fail to charge my account. And there's a $30 cancellation fee.
Luckily, I had the wits not to check off the "I agree to pay a 1 time fee" and "I authorize my card to be billed" fields. But there is a signature on the contract.
Legally, is this contract valid? Can I be sued for refusing to pay this fee by canceling my debit card and requesting a new one?
I know, odds of being sued by a scam company are low, but they exist. I WILL NOT send the parasites a $30 cancellation fee for a contract I was basically conned into signing.
I did send them an e-mail requesting cancellation of services though.
