What is the Whining Noise Coming from my Transmission/Engine area on my 03'

Subaru WRX? It isnt my turbo!...it gets really loud when I get up past 55mph...and is constant....its not grinding noise...its just a loud whining noise near the transmission/ engine area? What could it be
