What is wrong with my internet connection?

I have a cable internet connection for my home computer which is setup to have a wireless connection for my laptop. Everytime I connect to the wireless, it connects fine, but nevertheless, it disconnects within minutes and continues to do so every two minutes or so. This gets very frustrating, especially when I am using my AIM! It interrupts conversations!! The connection to my home computer also disconnects every few minutes as well. Could it be a faulty modem or something else?
 
Mine was doing the same thing. I had numerous Comcast tecks out. I found out it was a faulty modem and had been since Comcast installed it. Comcast finally gave me another one and everything is working fine so far.
 
I know how you feel. That used to happen to me. It eventually stopped, though. You should try getting a new router, maybe.
