what kind of holidays/occasions do they have in Turkey? like besides Ramadan what other holidays do they celebrate?

We celebrate 4 national holidays:

1. April 23: Ulusal Egemenlik ve Çocuk Bayram? (National Sovereignty and Children's Day)
2. May 19: Atatürk’ü Anma Gençlik ve Spor Bayram? (Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day)
3. August 30: Zafer Bayram? (Victory Day)
4. October 29: Cumhuriyet Bayram? (Republic Day)

And December 31st, of course, the New Year's Eve.

We also commemorate Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic, every year on the day he died, the 10th of November. It's a very big occasion througout the country.

There are two religious holidays:
1. Ramazan Bayram?: A three-day festival right at the end of the month of Ramadan.
2. Kurban Bayram?: Four-day festival when sacrificial animals are slaughtered and their meat distributed to the poor.
