What kind of wireless internet does itouch use?

I have a mac computer .I still don't knowm uch about wireless internet so, i want to know if there is a specifil kind of router i have to buy for my ipod touch? I don't get what this N's and G's stand for. Here are some i'm thinking of buying.

They use G. And N is just faster and has a higher range. I doesn't matter what kind you use. It isnt iTouch!!!! Its the iPod Touch.
