I really (desperately) want to work at Nintendo as a spriter because i'm good at making sprites and i'm a huge Nintendo fan. If it helps i'm 13 and i'm choosing what i need to do to get a job at Nintendo soon.

It is dificult to get into that company.

I have been trying for over 2 years to get into publications, etc as a writer/editor. Even with good credentials, it is not an easy task.

But you have an advantage of learning early how to get on the path to get into a job like that. I'm sure it is possible if you are consistent. Best of luck.

You want to develop games? Then you will have to choose a IT/Programming education but i think you should know that Nintendo doesn't develop games on their own usually. Il give you a example. I think you heard of Modern Warfare 2 (top sold game right now) so I'm going to use that as an example.

You might think its Activision that made the game since their name is the biggest on the box. But they are just the developers. Actually Infinity ward made the game. Activision is just the company that give the stores the game. Same thing with Nintendo. They build the console but they don't make most of the games.

But at the age of 13 really shouldn't worry that much about where you're going to work in the future. Only keep in mind that you can do what you want if you get good grades. When the time comes either you figured it out by yourself or you just have to ask your student counselor.

But making sprites is (by my predictions) gonna get old when your out of school. But character design is kinda big. Wont ever grow old. So you might not make sprites but you will design characters for games.

Summary of that^ Check with your student counselor, then work hard with Nintendo as your goal. Then if you do well you might end up there. But working at Nintendo is like getting into the NHL.

You're 13.

Chances you will get a job at Nintendo are really small.
Since there are many people who would like to work for Nintendo, you have to make sure that you have a good education. Since you are 13, I would focus on that. First think of what you really would like to do. Then, check the Nintendo website for what job offers they have, mostly there will be a list of the things they demand, like education and job experience. For most of the jobs Nintendo will probably ask for a college or university degree.

Well, I don't know what a spriter is but my husband works at Nintendo as an Programming Engineer. It is hard to get a job at Nintendo since lots of people want to work there. My husband got an internship at Nintendo while in college and that turned into a full-time job offer after a year. He has a bachelors degree in Real-Time Interactive Simulation from DigiPen and had to have some connections to even get that internship interview.
