You've got a relatable main character. They have a plot-related* goal for the scene. They attempt to acheive it, but they then run into a problem. Does this an interesting scene make? If no, what else does a scene need to be interesting?

*If it's romance then it's a romantic problem. If it's a thriller then the problem is probably some sort of danger. And so on.

You've described the basic structure of a scene. It's interesting if it introduces new information or if it reveals something new about the characters.

Like, in Harry Potter, the troll being set loose in the school on Halloween is plot-related. Harry and Ron go and save Hermione but when the teachers come in afterwards, Hermione completely breaks our expectations of her character, and takes responsibility for the whole incident.

Details are what will make this come alive as this shows the scene rather than simply narrating what transpires, be careful on the amount since it can either make or break the scene.

Hemingway was good at leaving out certain details as he firmly believed in his iceberg theory. You have to know what might running through people's minds when they read and you want to use your writing to spark interest and drive thought.

BTW I think it should be Does this make an interesting scene?

Action,of course.Too much"speech" and a lot of us turn away or start daydreaming, then you change the channel. That is why Reality television is so popular.
