RBC is 3.31 (4.4 - 6.0 is normal)
HGB is 97 (140 -175 is normal)
HCT 0.293 (.0400-0.530 is normal) and
LYMPH A.S.S is 0.90 (1.0-4.0 x 10 9/L is normal)
I know HGB is hemoglobin and it's low...can this be re-built by iron alone?
These are my dad's results. He's gone through a lot, including uncontrolled BP for quite a while, sepsis (thanks to a UTI from a hospital procedure) and is on IV antibiotics as he got cellulitis from a cut!! (25 days of it).
His NRI's are 2.7 but they were higher and not looked at actually during the course of these IV's which were administered at home under home care and he has had some blood in his urine which could be to his Warfarin.
Anyhow he'll have to get to a doc (this was done at a clinic to assess if he needed more antibiotics as I asked him to ask them to DO THIS) but I'm wondering if someone professional can give me a clue as to what these results mean and any other opinions you have.
Thanks!
