The question is simple enough, and vague enough to allow some slight interpretations.

Also, what music changed your tastes to the way it is today?

Me first, because I'm the least interesting.

I grew up with the 90s' pop, alternative, and country radio. Hootie and the Blowfish, Alanis Morisette, Faith Hill, and Shania Twain were played repeatedly. Green Day, Nirvana, and Metallica were also played a lot too -- I just didn't know it then. There was some 70s and 80s thrown in there, but as I said before I didn't know.

The first CDs I myself owned (and I say this with a mixture of glee and shame) were pretty lame, I'll admit it. WWF The Music Vol. 4 and Britney Spears' first two albums I played constantly ("Oops I Did It Again" being more popular with me). I still own all of the Creed CDs. The only one that I think would still make it on my playlist today would be Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP." Too bad when my parents walked in and a thousand curse-words rained upon them, they broke the CD in half and discarded it.

When My Chemical Romance first started becoming mainstream, I loved them. It was 8th grade, and I remember seeing their video (being shocked that music videos still existed). I credit the song "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" with opening me up a little more -- and eventually opening my musical tastes all the way. I laughed at it (and the fact that, for some reason, I thought the singer looked like Michael Jackson), and it intrigued me -- I had to find more. Even if the song is mildly annoying (what song with any form of catchiness ISN'T?), it gave me my love of music from indie to pop to hip-hop to metal and everything inbetween (or further outside!).

That's it for me. It's your turn -- I will choose the best answer based on... well, whatever lol. Be honest!
