I'm trying to decide if I want to get a smart phone I can use as a reader (tiny screen!) or a notebook I can use for everything and use some VOIP through it as a phone (imagining holding a notebook up to my ear).
My biggest priority is to be able to get my huge library onto an e-reader of some kind so it will be easier to move. Second priority is to be able to use it for writing when I'm in the mood away from home. Lastly, I would like to be able to have fun with it, so something I could play an online game with would also be nice.
Something about an Android makes me feel warm and tingly, but I don't know if it has the oomph for everything else I want, and I'm worried about earning an eternal squint. At the same time, a tablet may not have the battery life I would want, and I worry about taking it to work to write during lulls. (My laptop was always too bulky.)
Finally, trying to get around the hype and the product placement, what product has the best bang for the buck?
