what other engine would fit a fiat 126 engine?

I have an off road buggy which has been sitting a few years. it had a Fiat 126 engine and gearbox. the engines dead and i was wondering what other engine would fit the gearbox.

Fiat 500 engine (if you could fine one) would probably fit. Failing that look for a cheap 126 for sale, most rotted away before the engines gave up so it shouldn't be too hard to find one.

Best bet though would be a motorcycle engine as fast and plenty of choice plus easy to find.
