what should i do with my lonely little guppy?

i got my new fish today (3 Kribensis and along with the ride was a tiny little guppy - female i think... but couldn't count on that - its really tiny (about 1.5cm) and no colour..

i do like guppies - but wasn't planning on getting them but i feel sorry for the poor creature.

the man i bought the kribs off had guppies in the tank and he said they get along well (the odd one can be a bully)

should i keep her and get a few more? or what do you think? would she be ok on her own?
she's only been in there a day - so a new friend wouldn't matter, adn i'm not sure if i want babies as such - i suppose it wouldn't matter too much???

i hear they are like the rabbits of the waterworld ? haha

If she is already alone and has been for awhile, chances are she might not get along with a new 'friend'.

Why dont you just decorate her tank a little nicer, give her some things to swim around in?

I would suggest getting her a couple friends. Guppies like to school, so the minimum you should have is 3. usually most people will get 2 females and 1 male, because if you got 2 males and 1 female they would chase her all over and stress her out, and she will die.
Guppies are live bearers which means they give birth to live babies instead of laying eggs. The average guppy will have around 20 babies every 4-5 weeks. Yes that is alot, but the mom and other fish in the tank will eat the babies if you let them. I would suggest getting some floating plants, and put lots of little hiding places along the bottom of the tank such as little shells, or more plants, and let nature take its course. usually 1-2 babies from each pregnancy will survive to adult hood if they have places to hide. Just make sure that when you feed the fish, and you know there's some babies u crush up some of it real small so they can eat it.
