What should I do with my old (non-operable) car?

Well, if you are wanting a newer car, trade it in. The dealer will probably give you $100 for it and they will sell it for parts.

If you are just wanting rid of it, put an ad on Craigslist, or in the news paper for a free car, they just have to come tow it. Someone might want it for parts, if the body is good, they could use that to replace something on theirs.

You might be able to give it to Good Will, but I think they only take running cars.

I have a '98 Chevy Lumina that has several major problems (transmission failing, suspension falling apart) including an electrical problem that means it doesn't currently run. I've already bought a new car but don't know what to do with the old one. The dealer told me he could at best give me "pocket change" for it, so I didn't trade it in. Any suggestions?
