What should I get iphone refurb or no refurb?

So I planned on getting a iphone 3g 16gb refurb for $199 but I had to get an approval from at&t. Which takes 72 business hours. Now the iphone 3g 16gb refurb for $199 is temporally out of stock. I still haven't heard back from at&t about my approval but this got me thinking about getting the iphone 3g 8gb for $199 (non-refurbished) (or maybe even the 16gb if I decide to pay that much). What do you guys think?

Also, I have a 4gb ipod that wasent even half way full.. but I plan on having MUCH more songs (and apps) with my iphone.

What do you guys think would be the best for me?

If you need more details just ask and ill update with an answer.
 
The discount on refurbs is only $100. You're going to be using the phone for 2 years and using it for literally EVERYTHING. Spring for the new. You're not going to regret it. I know I didn't and I'm a cheapskate.
