To be more specific,traveling by foot. I have decided that a normal trip just won't do. I want to travel by foot (and possibly hitchhiking) from where I live in San Diego,across the southern end of the country, ending somewhere in Florida. What I want to know is what should I know about this kind of trip?How should I prepare? What is the average speed of a hitchhiker? And all in all,what do I pack?
