I'm in Manhattan working (I work nights) and I'm 7 stories up. The street I'm on tends to be quiet after 11pm or midnight because there's not any bars or clubs around and it's 3:30 am. I just heard 2 distressed screams (woman) coming from the street below, but I can't see anything from the angle I'm at. What would you do realistically? Call 911? Cont. working and hope for the best? Brush it off as drunks?
2nd question now...if you would do one of the latter 2, what should a person do to make their screams more urgent-sounding if they're being attacked on a quiet NYC street at 3am? What would you most definitely respond to by calling 911 immediately if not a blood curdling scream?
