What the different between LM3914 and LM3915 ?

I'm in a project to build a widerange oxygen sensor circuit. One of it's main componen is a LM3914. This componen is currently out of stock and the sales told me to replace it with LM3915 as they're inter-changeable, he said.
I'm a newbie myself, and will really appreciate someone who can explain me the different between both IC's.

am doing a project digital soil moisture tester. i need IC LM3915 in it but its not available , can i use LM3914 instead of LM3915..?
