What to do if a hurricane or tropical storm hits while I'm vacationing?

My fiancé and I are visiting orlando in august on the 13 -22. I live in Arkansas so I'm use to severe weather I'm just curious as to what I should do if a hurricane or tropical storm were to come through while we are there? Thanks!!!
Should I try to go home or would my hotel be a safe place to wait it out??
