What to watch after finishing gossip girl?

I have spent my entire summer catching up on gossip girl, and now that I finally am, I want a new show to occupy the boring week days wait for Mondays (gossip girl).

What is a new good show that I should start watching? I do NOT like One Tree Hill, and 90210 is alright... thanks!
 
Something that you might actually learn something from. Really, like the news or a documentary.
 
Try Friday Night Lights, House, Bones, Fringe, Two and a Half Men, Modern Family, Pretty Little Liar, Degrassi, and Parenthood.
 
you have got to try the vampire diaries. it is so good. some of my other faves are pretty little liars,the lying game,wwe, teen wolf
