Hey guys! I'm in the midst of planning an Energy Conference, I just wanted to know what the general interest of debates so that I could incorporate it into my research for the conference. List away!
Awesome replies, I will definitely bring these topics up for discussion and credit you of course! Thanks for the opinions!

Geothermal energy flows into the ocean would be on top of a list of several topics. This is totally unknown at this time and yet is vital to Earth's biosphere.

I would be interested to know how companies/ corporations / individuals can play our part to reduce our very high energy consumption and reduce pollution. Also, am interested to know how as an individual, I can tap on other sources of energy, such as solar energy for my daily use.

I would DEFINITELY bring up the subject that the very same Republicans who want to keep subsidies for oil companies to "look into renewable energy" (as though their profits over last few years and the fact that there is a finite source of energy aren't enough of an incentive) are the same people who want to cut the tax incentives for residences and regular businesses to embrace energy efficiency, solar power, wind power and other renewable energies.

By the way, here is a blog that discusses what the Federal government currently does to support energy efficiency and renewable energy under the Stimulus Act (which were slated to remain in effect until 2016) as well as a resource that lets people see, by state, what their own state governments and in some places, counties offer as incentives for energy efficiency and renewable technology: http://letstalkenergynow.blogspot.com/2011/03/what-are-your-energy-concerns-are.html
