I have the HRD and want to replace the tubes in them simply because the distortion it puts out is so muddy. The clean sounds amazing but i constantly have to use pedals to give any good distortion. I'm looking the classic rock tone, not any death metal or hardcore stuff. just simply to be able to play smooth sounding distortion. Thanks any advice will do and sorry if this wasn't specific enough for you to recommend anything. if so just list some namebrands and what bands have that kind of sound. thanks again
