what ulterior meanings could a sex related dream have other than just literal?

because I had a dream last night that I had sex with someone that I definitely do not want to have sex with in real life. Actually it was a threesome but I won't go into details lol.... What other meaning could a dream like that have? Like, could it mean that person just makes me happy in a non-sexual way?
