What value of milk would you use in this recipe?

ie. 2%, skim, whole, etc. Michael Strahan's Sweet Potato Casserole with Marshmallows, calls for 1 cup of milk. What are your suggestions? Do you think half & half would be an even better choice?

The recipe: http://dadt.com/live/recipe-finder.html?recipeID=15387

I'm not a very experienced cook and I want the result to be the best that it can be.

Yummo! I love sweet potatoes and the recipe sounds wonderful. Did u notice at the bottom of the recipe that it says for creamer potatoes add warm milk or chicken broth? I don't think I would use half and half as it may make them a bit stiffer then u prefer. I do think a alternative to milk that would also work would be a can of evaporated milk. The only difference in it opposed to whole milk is it does not have water in it which would also make your recipe a bit creamier. I don't think u will go wrong using any of these 3 choices... 2% MILK BUT WARKED UP FIRST. WHOLE MILK EITHER COLD OR WARM. CHICKEN BROTH. OR EVAPORATED MILK AS IS IN THE CAN SINCE ITS ALREADY ROOM TEMP. HOPE THIS HELPS. LET ME KNOW HOW THIS RECIPE TURNS OUT. I MAY HAVE TO TRY IT SOMETIME. HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
