What was the typical life for the daughter of a military man in the 1800s?

The year is 1944 and this person is 73 years old. She was born in 1871 and her father was in the military. What kind of life did she live? What kind of education would she have received? What about her fashion?

Then she married a police officer, what's her life style now? What would her Class be, middle class?

I need this information as fast as possible because she is the character I am playing in my up coming play. This is all the information I have on Myrtle. PLEASE HELP!
