What will I have to do to take my EFI 302 out of my truck and put in a 400M

carberated.? I have a 1986 ford f150, EFI 302, automatic 2wd .... I bought a 400 modified carberated motor and a c-6 trans .... what will i have to do to swap motor .... i heard something about the brain boxes not working ....

itll work.you will have to run a simple ecu system,and a rough;y 7-10 lbs fuel pump and disable the factory fuel pump.you can run a 1982 era ecu for simplicity,but running the feedback ecu isnt gonna work to good,although itll work.you just need a hall effect distributor with a vac advance and a wiring schematic and fuel pump and it will work.very simple to wire in.i dont remember if its an eec2 or 3,but if it helps its the non feedback version.
