...highschool and college? My parents are getting me a new car next year and im doing research
I currently have a 1994 ford explorer but it's getting passed on to my younger brother who gets his license next year. The driving age is 14 here so I've already had it for almost two years. I'm getting either a 2009 or 2010 truck/suv next year the gas mileage isn't a concern I just want something to get through snow/rain/ice and will be able to haul a small boat.
 
if your going to school and on a budget, a good used toyota 4x4 would be practical for fuel mileage and maintenance. or a 4cyl ford ranger.mazda 1/4 ton truck. or a nissan pathfinder, ford escape etc. if your worrying about school, you dont want a vehicle that'll be a pig on fuel. kia sportages are great on fuel as well.
 
If you can get an H1, that would be practical. you can find some out there with 120000 miles for only 50000 or so. Practical, cheap, and efficient. What more could you want?
