Whats App on Nokia C3?

Hello, I have a Nokia C3 and today I just downloaded Whats App messenger. When I click on the app it tells me to give my phone, which I have done and than I click done/ok and it says connecting then after a while it says cannot connect to server. I'm using the 3G off my phone and not the wifi.
