What's the best way to argue against a pseudoscience or fallacy?

It seems like when people use fallacies and pseudosciences to back up their ideas such as God or the Law of Attraction the only reaction you can really give is, "you're stupid!"

So, other than saying "what you said is a fallacy/pseudoscience", what are some better arguments to give?

Unless you have an investment in what someone else chooses to believe there's no reason to argue, aside from whatever satisfaction you get from inflating your ego by thinking you're right. Your pseudoscience fifty years ago would be your science today in a lot of avenues of investigation.
