i'm eating out on friday at an indian restaurant and i'm on a diet. any suggestions of reasonably healthy or the lowest calorie meals that i can have?
thanks x

Probably one of the veggies dishes. A big no no is Nan bread. Ask for tandoori roti, they are made from wholemeal flour and will not have anywhere near as much fat as Nan bread.I have been told that the Nan has as much, if not more fat than most main dishes !

Avoid creamy curries - tandoori or tikka is good though the naan will have quite a lot - avoid the pappadums.
Enjoy your meal.

Try Tandoori chicken with no sauce. Indian food is particularly high in calories because a lot of the sauces have cream in them. Avoid the naan bread too. If you do feel like getting a sauce try to stick with the tomato based ones such as rogan josh, it will have less calories than say for example korma. You should also get boiled rice instead of pilau or fried.
Hope you have a nice meal!
