The police and the now ex friend went through the house were his things were and hes accusing us of stealing over 100 DVDs cash and all sorts of other things and that they would be back. None of this is true and I would never do such a thing. I was wondering if the police should have had a warrent to come into my house or at least notified me that they would be coming? Also, when he accused us the police man was telling him things such as make a list of the missing things and that I would have to pay him for the missing items or we would all go to jail. I tried to help this person and he never paid a cent toward anything and I got the short end of the stick on this one. What can I do?
doing drugs? Hi, I live in kentucky and I took in a friend into a house I own in october because he was in an abusive relationship. He came to live with me until he figured something else out. I gave him a chance to find some where else to go and he didn't even look for another place. I live with other room mates and they agreed that he could stay for a while until he was on his feet. My other room mates came to me and told me that he was doing drugs. I found out that it was true and that very night he was taken to the hospital for taking too many pills that wernt his own. While in the hospital he called me so high that I wasn't able to understand him. I couldn't deal with the drugs and moved all of his things out to my garage and told him he could pick up his things when he found another place to go. While moving his things I found weed, pills and other drug things. The next day the lock was forced off my garage and some of his things were missing, I assumed it was him and didn't call the police because I could prove it was him. To protect his things I brought all his things inside after picking up his stuff off the garage floor. He showed up today with the police while I wasn't home and cought my girlfriend off guard, she called me crying saying the police were yelling at her, swearing, and telling her if she didn't tell them where all his things were they would take her, all my room mates, and myself to jail for theft.
